The original conservation concept was to restore the Boat House and preserve the environmental sanctuary.The calm peaceful waters of the Sound is a tranquil point of outlook on the sea, and marine and bird wildlife nursery. The Sound is a nesting sanctuary for sea turtles, large starfish, baby shark, dolphins, conch, a variety of birds and other animals.
